Wing Training

Since 2008, Wing Training has assisted over 6000 adults with mental health and wellbeing issues and/or complex barriers move into or towards, employment and recovery, as well as helping newly employed people achieve and prosper while they are in work.

Wing Training’s adopts its own, highly specialised, training tools which utilize 'Forum Theatre' teaching techniques and specialised ‘Peer to Peer’ teaching and learning, tools developed in-house over a ten-year period. 

‘Forum Theatre’ is a proven method of powerfully addressing challenging issues and often used to achieve social aims. It is a form of educational workshop that encourages profound group interaction and explores different options for dealing with a key issue often difficult Forum Theatre can be particularly effective when used by socially excluded and disempowered groups.

In order to effectively run the intervention, all of Wing Training’ tutors are professional actors and skilled facilitators, who run a range of innovative group tasks to enhance well-being, build social skills, encourage networking and facilitate our specialised ‘Peer to peer’ learning, where groups of participants learn to trust each other, learn from each other, shared their own views, ideas, reflections and experiences, to create new and positive solutions - embedded at all times to the Five Ways to wellbeing mission.
