Got those first-day worries? From here your support changes, an in-work support coach will replace your employment coach. They will be able to provide you with any help you need! From banking queries to updating your CV, big or small queries, you can speak to your in-work support coach about it all.

The new job isn’t going how you expected? Jobs 22 can intervene on your behalf, or find you a new role while you are still employed, so you don’t lose out on any salary while you transition to a new position.

No matter what challenges you may be facing, the in-work support team is here to help you. We want to give you the best headstart to your new working life, and prepare you for what's to come.

Congratulations on your new job!

Going back to work can be both exciting and challenging but don't worry; we'll be here to support you on your journey, with the big questions and the small.

We want you to be as successful as possible in your new role, and we'll continue to provide you with a dedicated In Work Support Coach who will make arrangements with you for regular contact.

If you have any questions or need help adjusting to work, we're just at the end of the phone. We're available to talk to you about issues ranging from advice regarding childcare and understanding payslips to planning your career progression.

What to expect?

If this is your first job or just your first job after a break, there will be things that you may not have considered. Covid has affected how we all live and work, but we're here to help you navigate and understand those changes.

Remember, it's normal to feel tired, especially if you're getting used to a new commute or taking on a lot of new information during a training period.

While you're settling into a new role, it can take time to learn the ropes and get to know your colleagues. We can alleviate stress by helping you understand your contract and your propsects.

Maybe you’re enjoying your job but feel you need additional help with developing skills, we can signpost you to useful sessions to grow your confidence at work.

  1. Update your CV

    Now that you are in your new role don't forget to update your CV with your new skills and responsibilities.

  2. Banking/Budgeting

    Money management can be tricky, and it's important to know you're getting paid the right amount and paying the right amount of tax and national insurance. We can help you understand your payslips and plan a budget for the month ahead.

  3. Skills Sessions

    On-the-job learning is great, but if you need an extra bit of help with your digital skills or confidence building, we offer courses on a range of subjects that can help boost your career.

Overcoming Challenges

Sometimes a job doesn’t work out, and it takes time to find the right fit for you.

Please reach out and talk to us before you consider resigning if you’re struggling. We may be able to help you work things out with your employer, find another role, or help you to achieve a better work-life balance.

Your Wellbeing

We know that returning to work is a significant life change, and it's not uncommon for people to feel overwhelmed. Long-term, rewarding work is brilliant for self-confidence and people's mental and physical well-being.

We can help you with any health challenges you experience that might affect your work by signposting you to additional support services to give you the best chance of staying in and succeeding at work.
